I have been making missions for a dedicated server and we have found on some missions hundreds of animals walking around when using the module. Does anyone know if syncing the module or nor syncing the module with 1 player will have an effect on how many animals are created? Cheers

Looks interesting. What kind of player numbers to you have?

I recently got this problem "wait for host". I have been playing on the server for years, they recently added a new map and now I can only join if someone joins the server first and selects a mission. Once they leave I am back to the waiting screen. This only happens with this server. No other players have reported any problems after the new map was added. I reset my modem and router. Not much more I can do about it.

Can these and the replacements only be used with ACE?

I didn't vote so maybe I don't have the right to comment. However, I watched the winning movie and was very disappointed, no story with just a lot of slowmo footage, there must gave been something better than that or was the purpose of the awards just to showcase the game?

As Rekrul said it is a niche game. How can you expect it to be popular if it is a niche game? I don't know the game sales but I assume it peaked with OFP, anyone actually know the numbers? There are not going to be any more players than there are now. I am sure it will spike when the expansion is released but after a few months it will drop to present levels. There just aren't that many player out there that are interested in this style of game play. Look at the insane sales of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, that is the style of gameplay that the majority want, it is not going to change. ArmA style gameplay does not appeal to the general gaming community.

Worked fine for me too. I have XP and win 7 on separate HD, Change the HD to what system I want to use. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was better sound on Win 7. I had to manually DL the drivers for Win 7 so I don't know if I just got better drivers than I was using for XP. I haven't compared the drivers.

Nice map, thanks. Haven't finished testing yet but there is a kind of moat in Celle that doesn't show splash marks when fired at. The end of the moat also looks strange.

Why isn't this game more popular? Because it attracts the same people that played it from the start, OFP. There is nothing new in the game, nothing to attract people who are not interested in the style of game play that ArmA offers. The expansion pack will not attract anyone who doesn't already know the game is out there. ArmA has it's customer base and is limited to it.

Er.. I didn't actually see any AI, I only heard a couple of AI shooting. Don't believe everything you read. Easy to do it yourself. Go into the editor and place 1000 AI (that's a lot of copy/past) and see how it runs, please tell us how it plays.

Don't think it can happen. I remember thinking I could run OFP on a future system that would be unbelievable. Well, years later, I got the system and the game still ran like a bucket of nails.

I have eSATA SSD stick http://tw.silicon-power.com/product/pro_detail.php?main=17⊂=54&pro=115&sub_v=&currlang=utf8 It is faster than my hd drive. I copied ARMA2 onto it and run the game from there, I also put my page file on it. The game loads faster but I haven't seen much difference in game play.

I installed and patched upto the latest patch them moved the Arma folder to a new drive, everything working fine.

And yet BIS make the game with TAB, realism???

It is only a game. You won't have to sell your kids to buy it. There have been so may threads like this on the forum, why can't people search? There is a demo, try it.

I had everything running fine with the latest patch then I uninstalled it to put ArmA on a new eSATA and now I can't patch it. I get the same error messages. So it may have something to do with the disk. I am using XP 32

When first putting the Terrorist units in the editor I get the message "ffaa_et\arma\data\us_soldier_wound2_smdi.paa" I am using the latest beta.

You know you can actually do that in real life? Much more rewarding.
