No problem running a server and a game on the same PC I do it all the time. What server config do you use do you have it set up properly? IF you have waiting for host then I think Loyalguard is correct. Try voting yourself admin, assuming you have connected to your server.

Any way to detect if a mine has been placed in a particular spot? I want an objective to be true when a player places a mine on a certain section of a road. Any ideas?

I have Czech version and used the uninstaller, those files were still in the addon folder.

It won't start for me. After installing the patch successfully I get "Addon CA_Hotfix requires version 1.09 of application" I started with shortcut -mod=beta. Any ideas what's wrong? Found the answer in the problem thread.

Never a ctd here with Vista 32bit, 2GB ram. With the same hardware I get an average 5fps drop from XP to Vista.

Sounds good but...You have to remember where the makers of RO came from, they were just a mod team. They won a competition to develop the mod into a game. They have a much better relationship with the players than BIS could ever have. You could often see the devs in the game playing with regular players. Your idea works well with RO devs but I don't see BIS doing it, not enough profit maybe.

Does anyone know if the sound mod has or will have player movement sounds like BPAReal sound mod?

I was checking out the Addons forum and I saw some bunker addons and I got to thinking I had seen something similar before, in fact I have seen all the addons before. The weapons, planes, skins etc and I am sure we will see new islands like before. It feels like OFP in the early days, waiting for new addons to be released. My question is, is there anything new or are we going to relive OFP ? Because it feels like we are waiting for all the same addons that are available in OFP. Maybe there can't be anything new given that it is an upgrade of OFP. Having said that, I am not sure what "new" would be.

The thing is "known cheats", it looks to me that they can generate cheats faster than you could update the server.

It's the principal of the thing. They basically lie, they tell you something and it is not true. Is there any other product in the world where they can lie about what they are selling you and not get sued for it? I bought it knowing it was going to be full of bugs but still...
