okay, drivers for my soundblaster were up to date, but I reinstalled anyway. No difference. All drivers are certified in my DXDiag. and I can pass all test. NortonWorks utility troubleshooter tested everything okay including my memory. I have a 256sdram pc133 on my pc100 compliant. This, I thought first, was my cause. So I switched back to 256sdram pc100compliant. (Big probs if I use both these together for those who wonder why I use only one). This caused no difference in the game error. As for my other game (civ111) causing probs. It worked fine before as has this game. Exception is I don't always get bumped to desktop in that game, but always with ofp. This upon reading and google searching found was an inherent flaw, maybe in the game, but me thinks maybe in DX8.1. I am going to use dxbuster to eliminate DX from the computer completely and reinstall DX8.0. Mister Frag aperture settings and changes did not work in fixing prob. Will get back after I try this. I would not hope this is ofp's fault, as the game is awesome, but thier service support is definately undesirable. At least an auto reply to say we recieved your problem and are working our way towards helping you, would be nice. Or even you are number 1,987,321 in line, please wait for the next year before we can get back to you.(Hint, Hint, BIS)

1)yes, with this game and one other 2)no, not that I am aware of, although I may have some overlapping. 3)89% free 4)no, happens with official missions.

Mister Frag, That's the best answer I've ever recieved, but what does it all mean Bazzel? Sorry I couldn't resist using that quote from Austin Powers. I can somewhat follow your logic. I've tried 3 different memory sticks together, apart, and about every other config. you can try. What do you think a remedy would be, aside from dropping my cpu 40 floors?

    I keep getting booted to desktop after I play this game in SP mode after about 10 minutes. I've reinstalled my drivers, direct x, and the game multiple times, and have the via 4 in 1 drivers. Bohemia support has unanswered my emails. Im running an amd 700mhz, 256mb sdram, geforce 2mx 32 bit (at 2X AGP), sound blaster live. All drivers are certified. Took me a while to find the right video driver that would show up as certified in dxdiag. Â I have tried all different things to try to fix this as I am somewhat proficient in cputing. When the game dies after playing awhile, it flickers black and then cuts to desktop with no error boxes. Any help would be great. this is the in game settings: Light_Explo="1"; Cloudlets="1"; Cockpit_Textures="256"; Limit_LOD="0.019"; CPU_Benchmark="1500"; 3D_Performance="1500"; Frame_Rate_Pref="500"; VehShadows="1"; File_Heap="16"; Object_Textures="256"; HW_Type="Direct3D"; MaxObjects="256"; Shadows="1"; Language="English"; Quality_Pref="500"; Resolution_W="1024"; Adapter="0"; Texture_Heap="16"; Resolution_Bpp="32"; Resolution_H="768"; Reflections="1"; MaxLights="20"; Sky="1"; Animated_Textures="128"; Light_Missile="1"; Landscape_Textures="128"; Textures_Drop_Down="4"; Shadows_LOD="0.050"; LOD="7.500"; Total_Memory="256 MB"; Light_Static="1"; refresh=0; and this is the report log: Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION Version 1.46 Fault address: Â 00648E67 010247E67 C:\PROGRAM FILES\CODEMASTERS\OPERATIONFLASHPOINT\OPERATIONFLASHPOINT.EXE Prev. code bytes: 0F E8 06 50 E4 FF 8B 08 85 C9 0F 84 AB 02 00 00 Fault code bytes: 80 79 5C 01 0F 85 A1 02 00 00 8B 41 54 0F BE 90 Registers: EAX:11E3D8B4 EBX:00000092 ECX:4424D6C3 EDX:43F608C0 ESI:15525300 EDI:10B02BA0 CS:EIP:017F:00648E67 SS:ESP:018709BF3CC Â EBP:009BF4D0 DS:0187 Â ES:0187 Â FS:0F1F Â GS:0000 Flags:00210206
