    Well it's more profitable than if we hadn't agreed for a published version to be released there....... With that being said. Isnt it then a big mistake not to have the game released atleast in europe within a short period of time instead of the current situation. Fact is that the two biggest gaming stores here in denmark and prolly europe, Game and EBgames(4400 stores worldwide) dont even know about the game here. And even though you dont like it, if i wanted to get my hands on a non-sold version (which i dont). It would only take me a couple of hours to get it. And then i wouldnt even have the problem with a well talked about feature on the published version. Instead i will have to wait x amount of time to get something that people across the border have, because the international version are being released last. I know several stores that would import the game if there was a international version out but no publisher, and then do their own PR for the game. But they would never touch a national versioned game. And would think it would be the same in many other countries. So the issues with publishers isnt bigger than you make it Ps. And not to talk about the loss of not having it in stores for the x-mas sales.

    Hi. I just played around with your mine pack and i must say a where really impressed. No triggers needed or anything. But as lot of other people already mentioned it needs english ingame names for most to use them. But from reading this thread i can understand you are doing this for the next version (Any aprox. eta for it). Some other things you should consider for the next upgrade. -English explanation in the read me part. You already have the russian with pictures, so wold just be a translation. -Changing the ingame menu's so so each menu's hold one type of mines. Currently the menu's doesnt make sence. Probebly because i dont understand russian. But something like this seems more logical and easier. -Anti Personel Mines -Anti Tank Mines -Trip wires -Electrical mines (Have both electric triggers and mines here) -Booby traps (ak, radio and so on) -Crates -I really dont understand the crates? There are no mines in them and sinci you cant pick up the other mines what the idea with them?? Keep up the good work.

    Teasing? All we ever did was post pictures, plenty of other mods have posted pictures, plenty of other mods have faded away. Who was to know that we would not see things to fruition back then? As i said in my post im very grateful for the things that where released. They where fine pieces of work. And i have great respect for all the work you put into that work. But saying you didnt tease but just posted picture isnt true. It might not be your fault all alone since the popularity of your addons have made news from BAS more seen and talked about than most other mods. But you certainly played along with it..... Just to show a few statements. And all posted by....guess who  And thats why i say it came back and bit your behinds. You played along. And as you also can see in this post made a lot of people disapointed. Hope this is something you will think about if BAS ever makes it to OFP 2. Me myself would rather be surprised by a release than being told that something is on its way for x amount of time and then its not. Last thx again for all the great addons you made and i hope to see more in ofp 2 if and when it is released......

    First i wanna say thanks to BAS for a lot of great work. You really took the game to a whole other lvl and set a standard for what a good addon is. I myself have all of them. But then i also have to say your exit gives a bad taste in my mouth/mind. As other people have said you have been teasing the OFP community for over 6 months when pictures of all kind of addons you where going to release. Saying "look what we are making you will get it soon but we wont say when because its our motto" and now there´s nothing..... I know, as all others, that there are real things to take care of in "the real world" (what ever that is ). So now all your teasing comes back an bites you behinds big time and you are leaving a lot of people very disappointed And yes its your property and all but maybe you shouldnt have made such a big thing about it then... Also there's something else. With JAM you started something that mods started to make the addons around. But it really isnt finished. I dont think that JAM even covers 1/10 of the weapons being built by the bigger mods that already or are who are thinking about using JAM. In that way JAM is now a dead thing, which is sad. Last some thoughts about the missing addons Littlebirds If its the bike mount thats making the trouble cut it out and lets us have it with the rappel/ladder scripts that already tested and worked. And as TJ said in a earlier post "Yeh, damn shame the new version didnt get released really, I personally put in well over 500 hours on it..... and it flew like a dream too." Special Forces Vehicles With the very first pictures released about the SEALS you also had pictures of a light attack vehicle. How far in progress is this?? Im not talking about the land rover. Anyways looking forward to see your work in OFP2 if its ever released Damn i was really looking forward to the MH-53

    Just tested the pavehawks and great work as always. But a thing that i also mentioned when the blackhawks came is when you are in a forrest area and order the ladder extraction the blackhawk/pavehawk ends half way through the tree tops because the ladder isnt long enough. So if you could extend the ladder so the chopper is above the tree tops instead of half way down in them it would be great.

    And how would they get the MIG's and learn to fly them then?? Â As mentioned alot of times in this thread Nogova is a small land with limited money to use on military. As for russia not wanting to sell anything to Nogova i dont belive in that they sell to anyone who has money. The other way around is a something else. Now im not a expert on maintenance of choppers. But something i heard a lot is that it takes x number of people with x amount of equipment to fix a western made aircraft or helicopter, but it only takes 1 russian tech with a hammer to fix a russian one. Some other points. -Price on spare parts -Delivery time of spare parts -Price of delivery of spare part Also American chopper + French Missile system = More $ for parts, More $ for training and so on.

    If you read back to the area about the weight loadouts, there already is a solution to that problem. But it makes you choice between multiple weapons, ammo and agility.

    I know you already working on the Huey and all. But a better choice would be the MI-2 Hoplite. It would fit perfectly into the needs of the Nogovan armed forced. So why you say. Well the MI-2 can with very little work be changed into different configuration which would be the ideal choice for a small country's army. Like this: -Mi-2R: Ambulance version that carries 4x litter patients. This version is also used in a Search & Rescue role with a winch mounted. -Mi-2T: Transport version that carries 8 personnel. -Mi-2URN: Armed reconnaissance variant, employs 57-mm unguided rockets, and mounts a gunsight in the cockpit for aiming all weapons. -Mi-2URP: The antitank variant. Carries 4x AT-3 Sagger wire-guided missiles on external weapons racks, and 4x additional missiles in the cargo compartment. -Mi-2US: The gunship variant, employs an airframe modification that mounted a 23-mm NS-23KM cannon to the portside fuselage. Also employs 2x 7.62-mm gun pods on external racks, and 2x 7.62-mm pintle-mounted machineguns in the cabin. It also used as police choppers. That way all needs could be covered by a single chopper. Also its already made by two modmakers so it would be a question about asking one of them and change it into the needed version.

    SnypaUK Earlier i wrote in the backpack menu that i thought weapons shouldnt be allowed in the backback, exactly for the reason you mention. The backpack should only be used for extra ammo. One thing that could be allowed could be a AT weapon like the LAW since its small in size. But if rifles is allowed it would just be the same as being able to carry multiple rifles on you.

    There is one game supporting this action already. Day of Defeat mod for Half-life. But its more of a shot and run game. But the idea in it is great. You can deploy bi-pods when lying down, Standing in windows and standing behind some objects. When deployed you are given a limited area of operation, meaning you cant move your barrel 360. You will have to undeploy bipods to move it outside the given area and deploy them again. Only problem with that system is that objects are given some kind of value that permits the machine gunner to deploy his weapon there, and some times only in one direction, so its only possible on some objects.

    Do you need some of your other models to play with the F-16?? When i wanna try it i get the following error. No entry 'config.bin/CfgModels/Plane.sections'. on all 3 versions.

    I found a really easy way around those sites and you dont need any programs to do it. Just make window smaller and click and hold left mouse button on picture and drag the picture to either desktop or a folder and let go off mouse button and wupti you got the picture

    Thx it helped. The chopper model looks very good. But i think you should either use BAS dust or change the one you have now. It looks very strange and unrealistic. Like smoke rings from someone smoking and they arent in a flowing "movement" but just kinda pop ups in full effect with same effect at any height when activated.

    I hope you will reconsider. I dont believe that people wont use the BH's because of the LB's or the other way around. I dont know how other people think, but when im making a mission for lan fights with my friends, i think about what would be the most realistic and effective thing to use in this mission. And i have seen in other peoples missions that thet are using the same way of thinking. Examples: -You want a full group inserted by robe into a forrest area. Do you take 3 LB's, with big chance of the AI pilots flying into each other or having to have 3 player pilots, or do you use one BH?? -You want a two man sniper team put on a non landable roof top in a hot zone. Do you take the slower bigger BH or do you take the smaller faster LB?? The good mission makers take things into consideration and make their missions realistic. So it wont make the others unused. And especially not with quality addons like yours. I think its great that you choose to not add extra seat on the MH-6 and such because they do not have that room in real life. And as i said in last post. BAS has always tried to make things as realistic as the game allows it. So when a thing is on them in real life, is used in real life, is possible to do ingame, and when you have the knowledge to do it. Then i say lets have it. Yeah some people might replace the BH's with LB's. But possibly only for the first 14 days or so. Then they start switching back depending on what makes the mission better. So again, i hope you reconsider.

    I really dont think it will change game balance or reason not to use any of the other choppers in any way. If you need 5 men in a mission you wont take 2 LB but a BH. Also it isnt armed as well as the BH. Also if you where thinking that way there wouldnt have been a reason to make and release the BH since you already had the MH-47. Since the BH carries less people than the MH-47 but have the same features. Â Â Also isnt BAS motto making things as close to real life as game allows it to be?? And you already made the tubed "wings" (Dont know what to call them) above the back doors that the rappel robe would be attached to. Â Â

    Upgrade to Blackhawk Standard -Dust -Land effect -Fast insertion -Rappel -Extraction -Engine smoke. -Does LB's have flare's if yes then also flares. -Maybe also the ladder extraction, but if you choose so make it a bit longer than on blackhawks so choppers wont hit trees when doin it from a forrest. Might be more Blackhawk effects just cant remember them Other things -Moving target pod on the MD500. -Adding tracers shots on both guns on the MH-6 with 2 gatlings like on the DKM MI-28 Havoc. -Crash site The last thing is a bigger project and also feutures the satcom which isnt in the LB pack, and its also more of a general thing for your choppers, but i write it anyways. Just like your CAS script you should make it so a group with a satcom would be able to call for any bas chopper located on the map. Not only within viewdistance or when its on the ground. Kinda like the CoC artillery thing. Under the leader a selection would say -Use satcom Then a window showing which BAS choppers that are located on the map will pop up. You would than have the following selections in you menu. -Select next Chopper (Mark next chopper in the pop up window) -Call Chopper So you select the chopper you wanna contact, and press call chopper. You will then get a reply audio or text and a new menu will show depending on what chopper it is. -If gunships like the DAP and the armed MH-6 it would be something with asking for CAS. -If one of the transport helicopters is should show the different types of pick up/it can provide When type selected you should either click on map where you want that operation or it should locate by knowing where there radio is or something else. (this might need a item like the CoC obelisk to work but its worth it) Again when action choosen a reply would come and then its waiting time. General for all should be a possibility to: -Add waypoints for route or a aproach angle so the chopper wont fly in from where all the enemy is located in a hot zone. -Add a approach height (maybe something that will be activated 250-500 meters from target area) -Release the chopper, which will make it return to a base or filghtpath There could possibly be other features in this system i just cant get any to mind at the moment. If this is done you should also provide a exe line so other people could use the commands from their radios. I got the idea because one of the thing i miss from all the features you provide from your choppers is that you cant use them unless you are in it, are groupped with it or its made in waypoint/triggers.

    I think that instead of making it in the unit editor, a idea would be to have a selection in the mission editor like the waypoint selection. That way you could select a single person or a group, click on the map where you want the respawn point, then a menu would pop op and you could make the selection you talked about.

    Yeah there where a lot of countries involved. But they where more or less only 2 sides. And in any given battle they where only fighting like 2 sides. There where never a 3 way battle. And if you where to make a WW2 mod with campaign, as you mention your self, why would you wanna configure sides that wasnt in a battle?? Almost every battle was fought in zones controlled or appointed to different countries, so there where only 2 sides involved. Examples. Pacific front. US vs Japan UK with colonies vs Japan China vs Japan Russia vs Japan European Front. US vs Germany US vs Italy UK vs Germany UK vs Italy France vs Germany Russia vs Germany Then there where smaller supporting armies working under command by the main armies or defending forces in the start of the war. Like Poland, Holland, Norway, Rumania, Bulgaria, Canada just to mention a few. So the only sides you need is: 2 For the main army group countries like US, UK, Russia , Germany and Japan because they almost never fought in the same battles. 2 For the smaller supporting armies that would join the main armies in battles. If you make it realistic there really wouldnt be any need for more than 2 sides. Last two would only be to see the difference by color in the map. The big all vs all battles wouldnt really work in ofp. And if you wanna make them theres a game type all ready where you dont select sides but where all are enemies. For all other we got real time strategi games
