Perplexing problem with vehcile respawn

lo, well make sure u have a gamelogic named "Server" in ur mission OR change the line if (!local Server) exitWith {}; to if (!isServer) exitWith {}; u could also add a hint format["Unit: %1",_vcl]; after the line _vcl = _this; to check for which unit the script is running. gl -
yap looking that up killed a good missionobjective ... damn shame ..

disabling seagullmode is not possible ..well only by chossing another respawnmode .. u can only force the player back in the dialog when he closes it by hitting the ESC-Key that might be done by replacing the line ? !dialog : goto "seagull" with ? !dialog : goto "start" but i am at work and cant test this right now .. deF edit: better download that again .. i fixed something that didnt need fixing .. messed with GUER and resistace again .. Edit: tested .. seems to work as expected .. drawback u can not get out of spectator .. not even to disconnect from the server .. u have to Alt+F4 then or wait for the next round ..

lo, from the config they are animated = true so they should move allready .. what they do for one round and then stop animationPhase returns allways 0 after the stop (position player nearestObject 269) animate ["Vez_ropa_anim", 0 or 1] does not do anything and they are indestructable by config .. guess its a thingy for the long grown list ..

well didnt test it with sniffing but if that is my/ur ping to the server its sluggishly implemented .. eg the ping to one server is waiting/hindred by the ping to another server .. all pings beeing done on the same outgoing port .. and i have a quiet descent 50 to the server i play most .. usually i see only 2 boxes on them in that list .. with the filter set to 150 it somtimes does not show on this list .. with the tool from Keg there is no such oddity .. and some of the games GameSpy provides service for are started over a webinterface .. not even ingamebrowsers .. even on the webpage u will see a "ping" for that servers .. no matter how these pings are done they are simply not right ..

simple .. dont trust the boxes .. it is not ur ping to the server .. its the gamespy masterservers ping to them .. to get a real ping use Kegetys ArmaLauncher and add ur fav servers to the build in serverlist .. dont know if that works with the demo .. download at http://www.kegetys.net/arma/

i think ArmA is one of the last games who does not have such a functuality build in .. most people here use Fraps a trailversion can be downloaded here

nice first broadcast Mister Hopper .. but it really misses some music .. and maybe some advertisment for the free clanhosteng over at ArmAMods.net btw where is ur station located on Sahrani ż just asking because i am looking for a property over at Sahrani and some guys with a preference for a couple of beers in the neighbourhood is always a good decision support

lo ppl, well i had some very odd experienced atleast two times now .. two differnt servers on two days .. first time on a playerhosted this time on a deddy while playing on an open server it happend to me that i had to "share" my soldier with another player that JIPed "share" means .. we both had control of the soldier .. to make this a real mess .. when i complained about the daemon within my soldier i had his voice .. meaning i had his name infront of my chat .. both times it happend when i respawned into an AI soldier and there were lots of people joining/leaving the server .. shortly befor the deamon drove into my soldier i was on the P-Page and had a ping around 150 and and a slight desync of around 20. when he was within me i took a look P-Page and my name was gone. atleast i didnt see it at the first glance .. the textcolors of that page are not quiet readable atleast for red team. shortly after that the mission was changed by the admin my name showed up in the list of players but i wasnt able to select a spot although it loocked like i had a spot .. anyone else experienced this ż deF

well havent noticed any strange sounds in Prey,BF2,AA,Doom3 and so on .. OpenAL works like a charm and especially Creative cards should be able to do fine with it as CL developed the hardware acceleration part of it .. that (chopper)sound is odd and my geuss is that is not the engine ..

no he states that he "hopes for a patch" .. and advises testing befor buying .. further that the game wont win a beauty nor an inovacion contest .. he states that he liked OFP .. the arcticel gives playercommmanded AI a 50% canche of doing what it is told to .. it speaks of AD (Artificial Debility) like one of the CZs did in the CZ part of this forums ... i guess that "cant get there" problem with vehicles is still the same as it was in OFP .. caused by assigning posistions to all ordered in units at the time the order is given .. then u enter Driverpos and the poor AI that was assigned Driver (pos1) "cant get there"

The Buildversions are probably the same, as you already pointed out, it's only the stringtable. Who cares if the stringtable for languages that aren't officially supported (yet) are incomplete? Patches, Patches... As long as they are complete when they get supported officialy well it was pointed out that different stringtables may cause trouble with the AC of the a server .. "Buidversions" refered to differnt builds of stringtables .. Quote from above "You are using an unofficial way to change the language and you expect a good translation from the latest build of the game?" if they still fiddle around with those the "Hash" for the localised versions will be different .. rendering AC useless or making it impossible for different localised version to play with each other .. depends on the fact wheter AC is an option or not .. if AC isnt there jet .. thanks for for that unfinished feature ..
