Long Range Assault Group is a brand new milsim unit looking to recruit players interested in organised gameplay. If you prefer to play Arma seriously but without any of the unnecessary formalities, have the enthusiasm to be active in order to get the group off the ground and are prepared to learn a few techniques involved with playing in small teams, then this group should suit you. The aim is to play in small four man patrols, using light vehicles and helicopters for mobility. Missions will be designed around raiding operations, rather than the usual advance to contact, seen in most light infantry groups.To this end, positions such as demolitions, medic, marksman and helicopter pilot will be open to all, once rifleman numbers allow. Mission night will be at 20:00 GMT every Wednesday, with a practice mission at 16:00 GMT every Sunday, focused on particular skills needed for future ops. There will be no set ranks or calling people 'sir' but it isn't completely casual either. At least 50% attendance per month is required, and a level of sensible play is expected from a strictly 18+ player base. It's hoped that eventually a small group of very competent players will form which can offer teams to contribute in joint ops, performing specialist tasks such as close target reconnaissance or elimination of high value targets.
