Ya it’s weird. It seems to work for other people no problem. And I only started using them cause I could craft them. But I normally don’t even use the signal detector on the map.

The portable Signal detector does not work for me. It will show me someone across the map and then 10 seconds later I get blindsided by someone in the same building as me. Am I missing something? Do I need to use the signal detector on the map first to be more accurate? ive literally used it before entering buildings such as the barred house or where time safe is. It pings someone across the map. Go into building still crouched and walking around quietly and get killed by someone waiting inside.
