1st Battalion, 9th Marines The 1/9 Marines operate as an ArmA 3 tactical realism and military simulation unit with structure, customs, and standards derived from those utilized within the United States Marine Corps. We try to be as accurate as possible, but some things have been adjusted to fit the gaming environment or to better suit the tastes of our members. What you can expect: Strong Leadership Having been around the MilSim community for almost a decade, previously in the form of 16th MEU and 1stMRB, we have lots of in-game and real world leadership experience and exacting standards for ourselves and for our members Full training pipeline Ranks in our community are earned, not given; they are earned as a result of dedication, training and competence. This is true for every member. You only trust the Marine next to you on the battlefield if they know as much as you. This means being a productive, friendly member who follows instructions and can work as part of a team. We expect you to be dedicated Activity is vital to the health of the 1/9 Marines. You should make an effort to be active in text, voice, and in-game. When you commit to participate in a training exercise or official operation, make sure you turn up. Sometimes real life gets in the way. We are very understanding, just let your chain of command know when you are unable to be around.
