  1. Hello Joao,

The time schedule for patch releases vary depending on the several factors. The update will be released before the end of this month. Though unfortunately this upcoming update doe snot contain vehicles, or multiplier. It will however add a forth island, weapon attachments, new weapons, and new gear. For information on updates, please follow Mini DayZ on social media. Thank you. :)

That's good to hear! Now I want a tent in every major town. Would still like to know if I can farm and if so then how? If I start hunting deer I think food will be easier but water.....it's still an issue. Is there another source of water other than wells and pop? I know certain food will restore some. I was running low on water so I headed to a town with a well. Well, the well was dry, oh well. So I headed to another. It was dry too. I ended up dying of dehydration with a empty water bottle and canteen, next to a river while it was pouring rain down on me. I can make a backpack from some twigs and rope, repair a vehicle and haul 200lbs of equipment across the country side without ever getting tired but I can't cup my hands together or tilt my head back and open my mouth? Yeah I know, it's game mechanics. Same reason if I'm starving than that means blood is pouring out of my body. If you find answers then great, if not thanks anyways. When my sub forum gets set up I shall discuss it with my brethren and our people will rise up from our minority status and show where the real processing power comes from. Or I'll break down and buy a smart phone like everyone else on the planet.

Unfortunately you are unable to farm on the browser version of Mini DayZ, and bandits do eventually respawn there is not a hard limit. As for water, certain buildings like the fire station will ALWAYS have a water pump, and villages will sometimes. However since the browser version is a static map so you can memorize where the pump locations are? Also the pumps are listed on the map. Now if they have anything in them or not is a different story entirely. ^

I got to drive my first car! Woo-hoo! This is in browser mode though. I'm reading the posts on this forum but it's confusing to know if we are talking about mobile or browser version. Would it be possible Valbunny to create a separate sub forum like the General one but call it Browser version or something? I know you said work is being done on the forum structure here and don't know if you could create that without causing more work.

My car experience was brief but awesome. Reverse is like 10 times faster than forward. Some bandit shot me up as I drove by so I got out and he shot me up some more :(  I got to run over some zombies though :)

Is it possible to farm in browser mode? I'm finally getting the hang of the game and making it past my 2nd night but it's always a major problem keeping food and water at good levels.

Is there a set number of bandits in Chernarus or do they keep spawning?

I got a 2nd tent but didn't get a chance to set it up. Is there any limit to how many tents I can have in game?

Thanks again Valbunny, it seems you are the driving force keeping this forum going (in my 3 days of being here)

Aha awesome driving your first car!!

There is no limit to how many tents you can have in game, and there is no limit to how many items you are able to store inside of a tent. I am not as familiar with the browser version of Mini DayZ, but I can certainly get some answers for you regarding your questions. :) As for organization of the forums, as said previously I am working on it. As for differentiation between browser and mobile version, this has been suggested as well to the admin, simply waiting for a response. ^

  4. Hello atchodas,

    Secret locations

Secret locations vary. You have already seen a lot of them on screenshots (radio tower or KV2 tank for example). On each island, one random secret location spawns in the forest (about 10 cases). It has a small icon as the forest on the minimap. To find a secret location, you need to know it never borders with any location, road or edge of the map. It is always surrounded by lakes or forest tiles.

A secret locations guide has been posted on the blog, please feel free to check it out. :)

    Hello,

Brand new Mini DayZ player here, [less than a week] and I am loving it! My boyfriend was playing for a while then after hearing all the excitement, I asked about it and he showed me. I am now happily a fan. It takes me back to my PC game days of Krush, Kill, & Destroy but more hands on. After playing the game and lots of dying, I now have a ton of questions [and a suggestion or 2] that I can't seem to find the answers to. Hopefully you can answer them.

***What clothing items [besides T-shirt] can be torn into rags? I have searched so many places online and I cannot seem to find the answer to this. I know in the original game DayZ, there was a decent list of clothing that could be torn into rags, some even torn into more than 1 rag. Please help!

***How many times can you harvest a plant before it "dies" ? Do the plants die, become unable to be used? I know you get like 2-5 crop from most plants. What I'm wondering is if it keeps growing new crop on it's own or do you have to plant new things each harvest? [note: this is in reference to farming in the game. I am not asking about berry bushes.]

*** How long do items survive when dropped on the ground? Does the map referesh every X amount of hours?

*** Can your character get attacked while inside a civilian tent?

*** Why can bear traps hurt our characters but not barbed wire? Wouldn't it make sense to make bear traps and other similiar things only harm the enemies? Seems to give them even more of an unfair advantage than what they already have.

*** What is the purpose of the fuel can?

*** Why can certain enemies enter certain buildings? How do we know which enemies can enter buildings or which buildings they can enter? Do enemies change per island you visit?

*** What is the secret place? How would we know we have found the secret place?

    Hello sdawn,

I am very happy to hear you are enjoying Mini DayZ as much as I do. Here are the answers to your questions, I wish you luck in your adventure of survival. ^

    •  shirt, tshirt, bandana can be torn into rags.
    •  You can harvest a plant once
    •  Items dropped outside of tent can still up to 9 game hours. depends on many factors really.
    • You can be attacked inside  tent, also tent could be damaged.
    • Currently there is no purpose for the fuel can. (In the upcoming patch it will be used to travel from island three to four, and in the future will be used to fuel vehicles.)
    • Enemies entering buildings - if door is opened

  6. No you did not really post in the wrong place, as this was suggestions as well as bugs. The forums are very much in need of being reorganized, and I am working on this, though it is not as simple as it appears. Currently, due to the fact the forums are VERY unorganized, it would be a much wiser choice to send bugs to support rather than on these forums. It is very complicated and is more work then needed to search through the forums for each of the bugs. It needs to be a universal place to report them.

There is not a vague hope, at some point in the future development for browser version WILL continue. (Unless plans change.)

Again, yes the forum is in desperate need of reorganization, and it is currently in progress. :) Thank you, for your appreciation of my efforts. I try my best to at least acknowledge everyones concern on the forums. :^^ Even if I can not directly fix the problem, it is always nice to receive a response.

  7. Hello Marcus.

First of all, I am very happy you are enjoying Mini DayZ so much!! :) We greatly appreciable your feedback of Mini DayZ. Yes currently all resources are going toward development of the mobile version of the game. This does not mean that the browser version will stay as is, plans are to update it again in the future. If you find bugs within the game, please report them here on our forums, (at the correct location) and/or send an email to support >>support@bistudio.com

This is my 3rd or 4th encounter of the same issue, that to me is frequent considering that I've only been playing this game for less than a month, on my iPhone 6s, which in your opinion and mine is not an old device. If you do a quick search on this forum or Minidayz reddit, you will find countless complaints of the crashing issue, which makes it a very common issue, not as per my assumption. As a matter of fact, there are at least 5 threads related to this issue on the first page of this forum, if you dig deeper into it I'm sure you'll find more.

So say fifty people on this forum that has taken the time to express their opinions of the crashing, versus the over two million who play? Seems widespread to me. You are more than welcome to express your opinions, no one will, or can stop you from doing that. You are free to ask questions of your concerns as well. The issue is known, the issue is being worked on, please be patient and wait for said fix. Thank you.

Are you suggesting that iPhone 6s is considered old?

The word old can be subjective within the mobile world. I personally consider anything older that which is not able to support the latest of something. Considering that the iPhone 6 can, also that I said that it is most common in older devices, and then specifically stated (iPhone 6 should not be experiencing frequent crashes.) certainly implies that iPhone 6 is not an old device by my standards.

  10. The issue is not as widespread as you presume. It is most common on older devices (iPhone 6 should not be experiencing this issue frequently.) and appears to be more common on Android devices (which also has a larger player base then iOS.) No your saved data should be fine A way to check is the size of the app. I play across five devices and do not experience crashes, though all of the devices were manufactured within this year, and I have played Mini DayZ nearly one hundred hours without experiencing a crash. Please be patient, the issue is being worked on, while also experimenting with other potential future features.

My game crashed just now and since then I've been stuck on the loading screen. I tried to restart the game a couple of times and it's still like this. I even rebooted my phone and that didn't help either. I'm currently on a 20k+ veteran run, please don't tell me that it's doomed.

I'm playing on iPhone 6s, please help.

    Hello Oni Ye,

I apologize for the i inconvenience. This is a known issue and is being worked on. However it would still be helpful if you were to send an email to support. Thank you.

The game is really good but the bugs are ruining the image of this game. One month has passed and still no update. I just hope they didn't abandoned this game.

I assure you the game has not been abandoned.

  12. There is no news on the next update, rather than the live stream a few days ago, we aren't sure when it will be released. (Should be sometime soon I think though.) You can see the latest updates regarding the game on the Mini DayZ facebook page. :)

  13. Hello RoundBox, glad to hear that you are enjoying the game.

    1) Yes progress saves automatically, though not for multiplayer on the browser version. (Browser version is the current only version with the multiplayer feature.

    2) Yes I think that would be a good idea. It would allow you to develop a better understanding of the gane mechanics.

    3) For mobile, equip the shirt, then tap it, and select "tear into rags". Same process for browser only right click.

Here is a very nice guide posted on the reddit. Though I have only copied a specific piece of the guide, I strongly recommend that you take a look at it, as it has a lot of other very useful information, like descriptions of zombies, guns, and their corresponding ammo type, crafting and much more. ^^

**However please note that not all weapons displayed on the infograph are not actually in Mini DayZ, though ammo listing is correct.***

    Survival Tips

    • Avoid melee combat, it is very dangerous and damaging to your gear. Use a gun or unlock the sprinter perk and run away from zombies.

    • Don't take on bandits until you're ready. Bandits are very deadly, especially when they have guns. If you have a gun and they don't, take them out. Otherwise, stay away from them until you have godly gear.

    • Live off the land. If your storage is full, and you find some food, pick it up, eat it and continue on. It's unlikely you'll come back for it. Also, prioritise rice and kvas. Those give you the most food and drink bonuses.

    • If you find wolves while going from one town to another, don't kill them. Let them chase you into the town, then run past some zombies. The wolves will kill the zombies for you and then you can easily take them out.

    • At night, turn your brightness all the way up and keep going OR hide out in a house.

    From /u/waperperks

    • Avoid all combat unless absolutely necessary. Getting hit reduces equipment condition which in turn affects your ability to resist the cold. By doing so, you conserve ammunition and your weapon condition, allowing you to last longer. Also, if shot, you will bleed, wasting your bandages.

    • On your veteren playthrough, do not stand still to ponder about life. Plan your route first (i.e. what path to take to visit all military bases). Constantly move around to find food and water as your food and water bar drops fast.

    • When you find drinks (especially in towns), do not immediately use it as there may be a tap nearby which you can drink from. You can then bring the drink along with you.

    • Eat or drink stuff which fills up little of the bar first. I.e. eating 2 canned tuna instead of the rice. This tip helps you to conserve slots.

    • If full on water and food while exploring towns, do not immediately eat or drink anything that you find. Explore the town first then come back for it later when you need it. Doing so makes your food and water bars last longer.

    • Avoid military outposts unless you have good gear (not military bases). The loot there isn't impressive and you will usually use more ammo than you get in return.
