I mostly just was trying to figure out how the tracks were improperly set up. Then i could make the neccesary edits instead of just relaying the tracks. -

Is the issue something we could get around by editing the tracks on the map? As long as the cups tracks themselves work, I wouldn't have any issues modifying my version of Chernarus's rail layout. -

This mod's clearly going to be extremely powerful once it's had all those planned features added. Personally hoping those A2 tracks are done soon. -

Glad to finally see this in a releasable state. Exciting times for Arma. Would you be able to add a list of features you plan to add in the future to the post? I think we'd all like to know where you're planning on taking this. I'm personally hoping for destructible/repairable trains and derailing myself; would make Exile a hell of a lot more interesting to see my idiot friends hit the end of the tracks too fast and plow screaming into the ocean. -
The gun emplacement is a fantastic idea, but as you can see, if you hop off it while the train is moving, say bon voyage. Would the "Attachtowithmovement" mod work to alleviate this? I haven't heard much about it in a long while or if it even works, but it might help in making the gun emplacement idea more useful in practice.

Will the engines/cars be repairable with the right parts, a la vehicles in DayZ/Exile/whatever?

Hahahahaaaa you actually did it you absolute madman! Those were the models I was going to use (plus the flatbed). If you get the chernarus track models to work, it'll be something beautiful. Two questions: 1) can you run around on top of/inside those models as well, like you can with the Tanoa ones? 2) Are you planning a functionality where, say, if my stupid friends slam into a siding end too fast, they derail the train and go hurtling into the ocean while they scream in panic? You know. Just curious.

Damn, you got the switching looking flawless, no jumping at all. You mentioned maybe making this work for other types of track. Is there a possibility of getting it to work with other train models as well?

Considering the lack of proper train mods for ARMA 3, something like this is incredible, and I look forward to it being done soon. As a question though: while you've mentioned potentially adding compatibility for other track pieces, is it possible to use different train models as well? I ask because this would be awesome to implement on Chernarus, as buddies of mine are setting up an exile server and I'd love to get the train moving.
