  1. Due to a hard drive death, I've just discovered I no longer have the triple version of the armaRig Mascer graciously linked me up with a couple of years back. I thought I'd backed everything up, but there's always something, isn't there?

     

    Can anybody provide me with another link to it, if possible? 


  2. I've finally gotten around to reinstalling tools for modding, and although everything else seems to be working OK, I can't get Mikero's cupcore2p utility to unpack the cup files. Regardless of whether I tell it to extract the stable version, or the dev, it keeps telling me it can't find either. Needless to say, I have them installed fine via steam. 

     

    I had this working last time everything was installed (prior to a nasty HDD failure), and that was back in the spring. Is there something simple I'm missing, or is there a problem with the utility? I have all the rest of Mikero's tools installed, and the P drive seems to be working fine.

    Any feedback on the release is appreciated but should probably be better suited in the Release thread

  4. That second pic is pretty good. Really close in look and vibe to what you tend to get. The Mull of Kintyre map has some really nicely done little council estates in it - not sure where the assets are from. Of course, this is a mostly rural map, and as others have said, there are quite a few buildings in the game and DLC which really aren't far off for that. 

     

    EDIT: Just realised those are the same buildings. Lol. 


  5. Agreed. Mind you, until someone does a pebble-dashed council house model, Rural Scotland is never going to look exactly right in Arma. 3  🙂

    I hate to disappoint you guys too much, but the current ACU OCP texture on the Dev branch is there as kind of a placeholder/test and will likely be removed/hidden before any actual main branch release, at the model author's request. The current ACU model is the old style uniform cut that isn't actually available in OCP in the real world, and is quite visually different from the Army's current OCP uniform. It'll make a return if/when the correct uniform model gets made. The UCP, UCP-D, and OEF-CP patterns are here to stay, however. 😉

     

    Yeah, I had a feeling that might be the case. In actual fact I'm in the same boat as WSXCGY above. It's mainly the OEF-CP ACU's I'm using at the mo. They look great, and scratch an itch I've had for a while!

    I haven't even looked at, let alone played, any of the scenario content but as a Scot, and a resident of the city of Glasgow where the C-word is used as punctuation, I can *guarantee* the game massively undersells the natural sweariness of my people..:D

    To get it right for Glasgow you'd have to make a PBO which simulates it being 6 degrees C, but your soldiers still ending up soaked with sweat from just walking around because there's 99% humidity.

    It's a pretty nice one actually. I prefer it to the RHS one in fact. I'd definitely use it if you did something. I've a real thing for all that gear. All the Crye stuff is great, but it's kind of ubiquitous.

I believe RHS have intentions of doing their own OCP ACU eventually, though I couldn't tell you how soon that would be. VSM/Zenith used to have one but most of that stuff has been banned/deleted/whatever'd. beyond that, I don't think there's anything else in the works.

     

    A shame. It's something that's really missing, I think. I wasn't actually that fussed about the one in Zenith, but I liked yours. It's a shame about clima_x but there you go. Perhaps Simcardo could be talked into doing one for his US forces mod. (I'm using his gear a lot as it is. I'm always hopeful someone will use that as the basis of another Task Force Black era mod as well - Hopeful but not waiting on one, Task Force Black uniform mods seem to be a bit cursed, lol. )
