    Howdy folks,

     

    I've recently decided to use Kelley's Island for a new RP framework I've started work on, but I wasn't impressed with the fact that it had a 6.6GB mod dependency (so did a few others by the looks of this thread ;)) so I decided to go ahead and learn how to use the terrain builder, and over the last few days I've modified and (in my mind) improved the island in such a way that keeps its key characteristics, but improves upon the look and feel - AND - removes EVERY mod dependency. This has of course resulted in a bunch of buildings being removed - but you can add these back in yourselves with 3DEN or even Terrain Builder if you're feeling adventurous. 

     

    I also uploaded it to the Steam Workshop, as I feel it's easier for everyone to simply subscribe and use. I will be uploading source files for it shortly, but for now here is the workshop link if you'd like to check it out. As I said, no mods are needed to run this island, except for the terrain itself. Apropriate credits have of course remained intact.

  2. You have to change the satmap image to reflect what you want to see ingame. You need to remove all buildings on the map associated with CA to remove the CUP requirement.

    First off great map. I have a couple questions (I'm brand new to map making). Im following a tutorial on map creation that was made by CapsNCaps. And in his tutorial it shows you how to make a script to view the roads in bulldozer. I can't only see some of the roads. Like the road number 2 and 6. Is that because I did somthing wrong with the script or somthing with the map? Also I was hoping to remove the All In Arma Terrain Pack (basically make it an arma 3 only map with the e7 building and roads and what not). Could I just not include it then the building just wont show? Also I made some changes to the hills and made some lower cuz im making a housing section and it still had the mountain texture on it. If I recreat the layers.cfg (I think it's called that) will it change the color to grass because it's at a lower altitude? Thanks


  3. something happened in the 1.56 update that broke the sliding mechanism for the door. I would remove it completely until something can be fixed with it.

    Working with altis.life 4.0 implent the prison gate in editor it works great!

    when i upload the mission sqf to server, something blockes the gate i dont have the menu anymore to open gate ....

    cna some one tell me please how to change it so i can open up those gates , houses same story cant open nothing, and yes i putted in the file debug, doesnt work,

  4. You need to update your Arma3 Tools

    First thanks for your great work ,I have a problem with the new version, changed all files in P but when I put some object crash , the map it's clean without objects, it is only when I put an object of the new version, if put the previous version all perfect , any idea why is this happening?

  5. I'm trying to move away from the whitelist.txt for BEC and move to the extdb2 option for whitelist database. There's some examples on the github but I'm still unsure how I can make a smooth transition from one to the other. I like the reliability of having the whitelisting done in a database instead of a txt file and it's less convoluted that way. Adding the example tables and then using an rcon tool like EPM Rcon Tool should do the trick or is there some more documentation out there?


  6. I know OrgoByte will be donating once you've released it thats for sure! We're not monetizing anything though. We just appreciate this added immersion for Arma females!

    Ah, crud, I knew there was something I needed to do, my tutor wasn't sure, he was going to chase it up with the course leader.
    In the meantime, a good friend is externally testing it for me :)

    On a VERY serious note, working with RHS has brought a good point to make.

    If anyone sees monetized servers using any component of Identizee, inform me immediately, as there's a good chance they haven't asked permission to do so, and I'm not about to see someone making money off the back of ANY hard working addon developer without so much as asking first.

    If you want to set up a monetized server and want to use Identizee, please get in touch first, I'm sure a lot of people will tell you, I don't bite.

    I ask very humbly if these server managers would kindly donate some money to put back into development costs as development of these addons can cost money, I am currently saving up for a new version of photoshop, and recently just forked out nearly £40 for quixel 2.0

    Donation is optional for all, but I would hope monetized server managers to at least donate to the developers who have created the addons they use.

    But at the very least, ask first.
