I know there are a lot of threads on performance, but they are years old. Does anyone have any good performance tips for getting good CPU/RAM/GPU usage that are recent? My CPU never goes above 50%, my RAM stays around 25% and my GPU around 30% whether my FPS is at 60 or a constant 22(like the game I was just in). On the menu screen my GPU usage goes up to 96%, yet in game just now flying into a town in KOH my FPS went down to 22 and the GPU usage never went above 37% lol. 4 Parameters set: CPU Count 4 System Memory Limit - 16000 Video Memory Limit - 5744 (the game changed it to this after I put 6000) Intel TBB 4 Allocator(default) i5 4670k 16GB RAM RTX 2060 All games on SSD Windows 10

Yes mate, 64bit, the parameters must be there for a reason. Do you have similar problems to me?

In other games like Star Citizen, DCS and PCARS2 I have massive gains. In Arma I can max everything and get the same FPS as I did with my old card(GTX 770) on high graphics settings but still get parts of the game where the FPS will drop massively but not increase the usage of my hardware, lowering settings does nothing. I know that the Arma engine is notoriously bad, but I was hoping the community would have come up with a fix, I guess we're stuck. I read that the DayZ engine is different and performs better that Arma, maybe they will update to that?

You are right that those parameters are not needed as they seem to do nothing, but as far as the game managing itself I would strongly disagree.

OK, I removed all addons and workshop missions, I added a few tweeks to my nvidia control panel, re added my fixed start up parameters, and lowered in game settings to a comprise between looks and performance. I now get around 30 fps in Wasteland with no action and 60 in Sector Control mid battle on Tanoa with a few freezes and just a little frame drops now and then. I think the reason my fps is half in Wasteland compared to Sector Control is in game time progression, I noticed lag spikes when the time of day changed, does that sound right?

OK, I removed the custom memory allocator, changed the threads to 7, tried removing all the parameters, no change at all I'm afraid. Starts off in game 1 fps, then creeps up and down slowly to around 25-40 then settles there, but if I dare to turn round I get stutters, running up twisty stair wells in fun. Stratis is normal ok, can get problems, but very playable, Altis used to be fine, is now full of lag, predictably Tanoa is laggy hell. Do you guys get a good smooth experience? I notice after I close the game the pc is laggy for a while, hard drive maybe? I have recently installed a new one and that changed nothing but will an SSD help? Not that I'll get one just for this game.

I used to use W,A,S,D but after instaling a flight stick the A and D no longer work, maybe I un-binded the keys? I tried binding the WASD keys to the collective controls, but I still can't steer the chute? Yet I can steer with my flight stick. Can anyone tell me what command I need to re-bind.

Is there any way to apply this to the AI in a pre made scenario/mission?

Still a problem for me after all this time, can't believe this has not been fixed. Xbox controller F.l.y. 5 and X52 all disconnect when trying to change a control setting. Win 8.1 and Win 7. Such a pain.

I want to make a button box for the comms, but I already use a flight stick, is there a limit to how many peripherals I can use at one time in Arma 3?

I think I have the same problem, it has just started after the latest patch, if I can actually join a server, when I leave my net seems to be down until I restart my modem. I get a "Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (pramary DNS server)" error.
