    Honestly, leave it the way it is, because from experience, our trousers rip at the crotch a lot, and when you are in-theater it's sometimes difficult to find the correct size, or it's simply more convenient to grab whatever is at hand that fits.

    Ha. In the Navy, we have buttons on our uniforms, so they are mostly for show, because I for one am too lazy to unbutton my shoulder pocket to put trash or whatever in them... I always got salty seeing soldiers walking around with their phones in their shoulder pockets... The struggle is real.

  4. You will need the High Poly model to bake the normal mapping as well as Ambient Occlusion.

    My advice, slow your pace down, you're looking to go straight from A-Z without learning all the other important stuff. Rayko nails it, you need to learn to create textures, bad textures can ruin excellent models.

    Concentrate on a series of steps, master them to perfection and move to the next oI'

    Heh, I'll try to keep it to a steady jog. You're totally right though, I'm moving too fast. I'll drink some coffee, relax and figure this out.

    I actually did message the creator of the thread, they told me that they've already got a model they are working on. So no luck  :unsure:

    I see your model is already low poly. Will you make a detailed high poly model? If yes after high poly  you will be able to make a normal mapping.

    I've actually got a high poly model of the T-64 but it's just too detailed for ArmA to handle unfortunately. I've been following Burnes videos on youtube and it has brought me this far. the greater goal here is to make a Ukrainian Army modification, I just need help doing so. 


  7. Hi, my names Wendy, and I'm quite new to 3d modeling. I've been working on this project for about a month now. I've taught myself everything so far through YouTube videos and the BI forums, but there simply isn't enough information on the web for me to wrap my head around what to do next, I've got the complete 3D model of the tank ready to go, but I simply do not have a clue how to do the texture work, PhysX or config work... There's just no information I can find on how to do this type of stuff on a tracked vehicle. So I've reached a brick wall in continuation of my project. So basically what I'm looking for is someone to help me bring the model to life. Help would be hugely appreciated. :)

  8. I couldn't resist doing this, hope you don't mind. I have zero intention on releasing this, it's all for personal use. I just wanted to say thank you for the mod, I enjoy every aspect of it and I support your work.

  9. Hello. I like this mod, but I have a problem: I have not sounds of shooting of every SAF gun. I can hear a sound when I move the camera in front of a gun, but it's absolutely silent when it's normal position of camera. When I take a gun in arsenal, there is a sign "No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgWeapons/saf_(gun name here)/FullAuto.StandardSound'. " How can I fix it?

    You are running an older version of the mod, you have to wait until the next version comes out. 


  10. Yiiiikess.... Leave the guy alone. It's not his job to make you happy. He's doing this purely for the joy of doing it, it is only by his kind will that you get to even use this mod. The bottom line is that if you dont like it, dont use it, criticizing hours upon hours of work is upsetting... so many modders have left this community in the past 2 years because of comments like those. Please be more mindful in the future.

  11. So after a few months off and my pc deciding to die on me, i lose my source files for the first release of the loop. I have now begun work on version 2.

    Version 2 will blow your mind. It blows mine at how very accurate this map is compared to the first. V1 was 20x20, V2 is now 30x30km and is 1:1 in scale.

    RAF Valley is back too, but the locale of valley is now south East on the map. I am again in the process of getting it ready to push out to give you all a taster. At the moment there are no custom textures so you will not receive the dreaded charion error.

    I WILL BE making this complete with ground troop functionality. All the objects will be there that are needed. Basically it will be more than a flying map.

    As V2 is so much bigger, i plan to update the ground features per quarter satelite tile. Which is 15360x15360. As you can imagine if cherno is 13x13, thats alot of map to cover and be able to play on at the same time.

    The first alpha release should be within the next week or so, potentialy with forested areas and some rocks on areas around the loop circuit. If things work out i will try and get most of the forest areas done.

    Watch this space.

  12. I now only play with DragonFyre 2.5, your mod is that FANTASTIC!!!! One tiny request is please bring back the mortar whistling sound. I don't seem to hear it anymore? I loved hearing that sound of a round shrieking in!!!

    Honestly, that was the most awe inspiring/creepy sound that I've heard in a video game... That'd literally be my only request if that sound could return lol

  13. Considering that countermeasures expendables are completely unrelated to the aircraft's radar or communications, that's rather silly.  It would be something like saying you can't drop bombs because your radar's being jammed.

    I think it'd be more useful if it jammed enemy IFF or their radar warning recievers for a short period of time.


  14. Done more testing of this. It happens on Statis too, again with RHS only. It doesn't happen everytime, but it happens most times. It behaves as if there is some kind of speed limiter or it is stuck in gear, because the truck hits about 20km/h and just won't go faster. If you go downhill it will struggle to get above 30km/h, after which it behaves as normal, until it next dips below 20km/h.

     

    I've been experiencing this since day one of the mods' release, I always thought it must have been some kind of gear shifting system which I had no clue about... But apparently not. However I noticed it usually happens at random times even on flat ground.... I mean honestly it's not a huge deal, it's not *too* frequently occuring. I think BIS's jumping tanks issue is... A little bit more important and frustrating to no end. And I think I speak for every single person on this thread when I say that.
