sgtvor 0 Posted April 23, 2002 I'd like to see the ability to trigger respawning via a variable in the next version. Such as: respawn = "base" respawndelay= "reinforcements" where players wouldn't respawn until the variable "reinforcements" becomes true. It could have a ton of uses. Mission editors could create maps like in Wolfenstein where a groups of players respawn together. The main reason I'D like to see it is to increase the playtime of some mulitplayer coop missions. At certain, logical points in some missions, a triggered respawn could bring dead players back as "reinforcements" to continue on with the rest of the mission. They wouldn't be respawning constantly, only while the trigger is true. A mission editor could create some interesting missions where everyone who started playing could finish the mission alive while still keeping the mission "realistic" in most ways. The possibilities are many. Figured I'd just put it on the table here. Thanks. SgtVor
pyle 0 Posted April 24, 2002 Yeah I had thought about that as well a while back as well. And then I saw Wolftenstein. It really is genius actually. It truly would be perfect for OFP.
Tactician 0 Posted April 24, 2002 Agreed. That would open up quite a few possibilities.
