trouble with Arma + Arma2 since last patch 1.18

Recommended Posts

Hello,

i have a strange problem with Arma + Arma2 since i have installed the latest patch for Arma ( 1.18). Before i have played the games the last year without any problems...

Both games fall now after a couple of minutes, sometimes with Windows XP (blue screen) sometimes only the GameExe themselves.

Unfortunately, both without a exact error message: exe has encountered an error and must be ended bla bla... - no dll, driver, exe or others specified.

I have tried to deinstall and install the games new from Cd/ DVD, (Arma patched to 1.14). - same prob...

Grafik and Sound driver updated to last versions. - same prob...

Directx 9 new installed, from internet and Arma Cd. - same prob...

Change the Videocard (Geforce 7600GT to Ati 3850). - same prob...

Change power supply ( now 480W Tagan). - same prob...

Ram, Videocard, tests. no errors...

This problem only affects Arma and Arma2,

all other games like OFP, Necrovision, OF Dragon rising etc plays fine.

Maybe someone here has a solution...

System:

WinXP SP3 up to date...

AMD64 3400 Socket 754

2GB Ram

Ati 3850 512MB AGP

Soundblaster live 1024

Here is the last appcompat.txt from Arma:
