KnottyLocks 10 Posted April 5, 2010 OK, well basically, I reinstalled ARMA 2 because the play option didn't come up in the DVD autorun window and also for some reason it stopped asking for me to insert the DVD (which I'm sure it used to do) when trying to start the game without the DVD. I know they aren't big things but I just wanted to fix them just becaue they werent doing what they were supposed to even though it didnt affect the game in any perceivable way. Anyway, now that I have reinstalled it there is bad/frequent stuttering happening when before there was little to none. I've tried putting the graphics to their lowest settings and still it persists. I've recently updated my graphics card drivers but that didnt help at all. PC specs are as follows... Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Intel i7 920 2.6GHz 6GB DDR3 RAM ATi Radeon HD 4850 I have the retail version of ARMA 2 with the 1.05 patch installed.
MadMike-Brig2010- 10 Posted April 5, 2010 The DVD-check was removed in patch 1.05, so you don´t get the window popping up to insert the DVD. You don´t need the DVD to be in the drive to play the game.
Birdseye 0 Posted April 5, 2010 include -cpuCount=4 in your shortcut (if hypertreading is active) C:\ArmA2\arma2.exe -nosplash -CpuCount=4 Running ArmA in window mode will also help: C:\ArmA2\arma2.exe -nosplash -CpuCount=4 -x=1280 -y=1024 -window
