Session lost in mp, seemingly randomly

Ever since last night (Night of April 10th I believe) I've been stricken by a horrible bug in multiplayer.  Every so often, I'll be disconnected from the server back to the player list screen (the one accessible by hitting 'p' ingame) with "Session lost" in the chatbox.  The only available option is "Cancel."

Here is what I've gathered:

- No one sees any kind of "FADE" message with my name on it.

- It only strikes me when I'm either playing, at setup, or in briefing.  Never while waiting for a game to finish.

- Nothing of the sort happens to me during single player missions.

- It's happened on multiple servers, most running 1.49 and one running 1.46.

- It's been happening to other people too, starting at the same time.

- My ID is valid and I've never tried to modify my game executable.

Things I've tried to fix it:

- Restarted computer multiple times

- Ran OFP with nothing in background and maximum resources

- Re-installed OFP

My system

- Pentium 3 450mhz

- GeForce 2 MX

- 192mb ram

I've been playing OFP online without ANY problem like this for months.  Why would it only start now?  Why are other players having the same problem now?

Further info available upon request.  I want to be rid of this curse as soon as possible.

My next course of action, if no one here offers any wisdom, is to try and wipe OFP from the registry (I know it leaves some things there when uninstalled) and re-install.
