jdmt 12 Posted March 10, 2010 I have 5.1 Speakers that I have for music and movies, I don't want to use them for ArmA II, but because I use them for music, I have to have them set to my default device. I want my ArmA II sound to come out of my headset, which has separate output from my speakers. The ArmA II audio options only allow me to change volume, how do I change the output from Speakers to Headphones without changing the default device?
Bulldogs 10 Posted March 11, 2010 There is no way that I know of through Arma itself. If you're using two seperate outputs on the one card you can set your output to headphones mode through your audio cards config software, or through sound (under control panel in windows) then turn off your speakers when you play Arma, just remember to turn it back on to 5.1 when you want to watch movies and such. Depending on your card, if it is two seperate outs from the same audio card source (for example, the speakers are plugged into the back of your computer but there is a secondary front port for your head phones often called a HD port), then you can often activate speaker sense on the port so that when you plug the head phones into the front port it will automatically disable the speakers and switch to 2.0 mode. If you are using different audio devices (two different audio cards) which is possible under windows 7, then you have to manually select the default device you want to use under Windows Control Panel -> sound.
