Capturing Chernogorsk

I'm trying to capture Chernogorsk in the Dogs of War mission. All the of the enemy soldiers have been eliminated at the enemy strongpoints and in the town yet I can't seem to capture the city. What needs to be done? Usually when capturing a town, there is a horizontal red bar on the screen that decreases with time as I stand next to an enemy depot and after the bar is no longer there I successfully capture the city/town.

That bar is bugged as hell, I see it like 20% of the time.

Another thing you can do is open the map and look at the number next to the strongpoint. It's usually at 20 for less defended cities, and 30 or so for standard ones. It decreases with time as you stand around the strongpoint. It can be a nice indicator as to how long there is left until you cap the town.

Thanks I managed to capture it. However, since I downloaded the 1.05 patch I had to revert because my previous save games were incompatible.

Glad I could help! And I'm sorry to hear about the corrupted save games. That happened to me as well after I patched to 1.05, but luckily the mission is a lot faster and easier to do on the second run usually :)
