Tasks disappear when original leader dies. (SP)

Hi. I'm making a single-player mission, and everything is going great, except that when the original team leader is killed, the member who takes his spot as leader can no longer see the tasks list or notes. Why would this be?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

*EDIT* Now that I've spent the past few hours looking into this, it seems it isn't even possible! Is this really true? All I want is for my whole team to be able to view the same briefing as the team leader. When the team leader is unfortunately KIA, how is the rest of the team supposed to complete a mission if they can't see the tasks/notes/objectives? I thought there was a way to do this, but I just played through the packaged scenarios, and it seems that either you have no direct control over your team, or if a single member is lost you lose. Please, any help would be awesome! I've been working on this mission for a long time--it's like my baby! I just wish this one feature would work out!
