Kovah85 10 Posted February 8, 2010 In my mission you need to kill a unit hiding in a remote location. You ride in a helo there, it lands, you get out and proceed to find your target. However, the target is more concerned with shooting at the helo with his rifle. Any way to make him stop doing this? He doesn't even pay attention to the player, even when you are directly in his face. He just keeps pinging away at the chopper to no effect. How can I stop this from happening? I'd like to make him run away from the chopper when he sees it, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that.
Egosa-U 10 Posted February 8, 2010 If youre not the pilot of the helo, just put this setcaptive = true into helos init-line
Big Dawg KS 6 Posted February 8, 2010 If youre not the pilot of the helo, just put this setcaptive = true into helos init-line Except that setCaptive is a command, not a variable. Should be: this setCaptive true
charon productions 10 Posted February 8, 2010 Not sure if this works, but you could also try to disableAI "Target" and disableAI "AutoTarget" to make him not automatically assign the helo as a target, for the case that you want the shooter to run away. If you want him to shoot at the infantry getting out of the chopper, maybe manual commands like shooter dotarget leader infantrygroup would work. EDIT: to keep the syntax correct it would be : shooter disableAI "Target" shooter disableAI "AutoTarget"
Kovah85 10 Posted February 8, 2010 Ah, I never thought of the setCaptive thing. Good idea. My only problem is that the chopper could land right next to him and he wouldn't care until someone got out. The idea is that he knows you are coming for him. Any way to make him flee from the chopper when he sees it? And his position is randomly generated every time so it's not as easy as making a waypoint far away from the LZ.
