Failure to connect to multiplayer games

Sorry if this is bad form or the wrong channel for this, but I get a failure to connect when attempted to join multiplayer lobbies. The proper ports are open, is there anything I should try?

Thanks in advance, I lost my cd key long ago, and recently repurchased the game in a fit of nostalgia. :p

I also failed ist time,you should join some squads and downloads there addon.try to find in squad and fansite there are some squads there.

Sorry about that, it's been a long while. I've been a bit frustrated with some performance issues I don't recognize. :p
