how to turn that off so it doesnt turn up in middle of the screen? If you in a shooting and get that vote up it can be extremely annoying.

Amen!! I'm with you on that one.. seems that 'vote for new commander' is spamed constantly and why oh why does it freeze all your controls when initiated?

Choose Options->Team Menu and click on Vote Pop-Up on.

hmm must be blind or something but cant find that menu.. when i go ESC -> multiplayer windows comes up -> options -> no team menu here only game options, audio, video etc.. have the server disable it?

Options is on the player menu, in game, simply use the mousewheel ;) no need for Escape
