Armory points not sticking (Campaign saves too)

Hey guys, I've reinstalled Arma2 twice but to no avail: My Armory points and unlocks do not stick to my profile. When I relaunch the game, it goes back to defaults. Playing in Red Harvest for one mission or three, it doesn't matter. I can save and reload the saves dozens of times while in game. The second I quit Arma 2 and go to play later, its back to defaults.

The only thing I could think of is I had my Arma2.cfg and Profile on read only to save some tweaks. I unlocked my profile and the saves still don't stick. I unlocked my .cfg and the saves *still* don't stick. I reinstalled the entire game, deleted all the sub folders and save folders it had and the My Documents folder.

Didn't mod anything, didn't do anything but let steam patch it and launch. Didn't touch settings, went straight into armory and unlocked some weapons. Relaunched the game... Saves STILL don't stick.
