-Siegfried- 0 Posted March 31, 2002 So, this is what I tried: I created a custom mission. I placed this large troop transport ship (I think it's called LST) on the water and I spawned as a helicopter. If you have noticed, this ship I am talking about has a platform for helicopter landing. I then tried to land my bird gently ont he right spot, but, alas, the ship would go down with my weight! Â So I ended up sinking the darned ship. I tried again with the same result.... it's a pity this one was not modelled
Relg 0 Posted March 31, 2002 It was ment as eye candy for user created missions. however, you'll probably notice that if your doing it just right you can reload and refual at the ship. HOwever, personally, I would love to be able to land on the damn thing.

Jamesia 0 Posted March 31, 2002 I landed my chopper on an LST earlier today. You've got to land it on the front of the ship to be able to walk around. I got some screenshots actually... (when I tried these they didn't work but fortunecity might be working now) pic 1 pic 2 pic 3 EDIT: the pictures DO work.
Tovarish 0 Posted March 31, 2002 lol didn't you say you landed the chopper on the LST? If so, isn't that the chopper I see sinking in the water on the lower right of the third screenshot?

Jamesia 0 Posted March 31, 2002 lol. I did LAND the chopper on the front of the LST, and you can jump out and stay there comfortubly. But the chopper sort of jumps around a lot and then falls off into the sea. I did not say that the chopper would stay there and about my website: cool hu? -Siegfried- 0 Posted March 31, 2002 That's true! It looked as if the chopper was not on the ship but sinking in the sea. I am however impressed that you managed to get aboard....
Jamesia 0 Posted March 31, 2002 yeah, if u land your chopper at the front (you can go straight through the canvas cover thing), and if you jump out of your chopper quickish then you can walk around most of the front side,
