sonarmb 10 Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) Im trying to run a server on my LAN and Arma-sever.exe keeps CTD'ing. I have tried it on 3 different computers with 3 differnt OS's (WIN7 RC, XP SP3 and Vi$ta Home Basic) It gets to..... " Time stampxxxxxxx Dedicated host created." Then crashs. 1st puter. (laptop) lenovo Processor Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU T2310 @ 1.46GHz, 1467 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s) 1GB mem Vi$ta Home Basic Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002 Arma 1.16 (Australian) I realise that this is lower than the recommended, but I dont use this puter to play the game...the last time I did it was laggy and low graphoics settings....yuckky!!!!:butbut: Im only concerned with this one as the others were only used to test. I have used the server.cfg and basic.cfg in the command line. It still crashes. Any hints or help. I have a Benq laptop running XPsp3 and it runs the A2 server with no problems but wont run the Arma1 Server. Joybook A52 Intel T2080 1.73Ghz 1GB DDr Main Puter AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3.1Ghz 2GB DDR533 Gigabyte NV9400GT A1 and A2 fully patched (A2 Runns ,......JUST) Edited October 6, 2009 by sonarmb
sonarmb 10 Posted November 1, 2009 More info! WindozeXP x64 has the same problem. The problem appears to be related to creating a shortcut. If I run it from the folder it starts and runs fine...but I cant put any commands on it. If I create a shortcut and place the usual "-config=server.cfg -netlog -mod=beta" stuff it crashes, and if I create a shortcut to desktop without that stuff it crashes. Now I know no one is interested in A1 anymore....but some out there must know a fix to this. All I want to do is play some MP on my LAN so PLEASE can someone help me:o
