Colli 10 Posted September 9, 2009 Hi all, I have currently just picked up ArmA 2 and was wondering whats the multiplayer like and if there is i need to play it in the way of mods or patches. Sure you should install the newest patches whereas I wouldn't install any mods in the first few months. And I can recommend to install also the Betas. Runs all fine here. Also there is not a big need to use voice communication in multiplayer. I am playing since 2001/2002 on quite a every three days basis and never did. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
SASrecon 0 Posted September 9, 2009 Seeing as you just got it i'd reccommend the Ber[z]erk server, maximum player range in one server is 80-120, i think they reduced it to max 100 now but its still an amazing experience to play with so many players, once you get more familiar with controls and movement etc maybe you should try the XR warfare server, Warfare is probably my favourite map and has been since it was released for ARMA1. If you're looking for teamwork servers you can look them up; on the game of multiplayer servers they'll usually be the passworded ones with 10-20players and the server name will be some kind of website which you can register at and join etc. these teamwork servers will almost certainly require you to have TS or vent.
