senag2 10 Posted July 27, 2009 I bought the downloaded version of ArmA II from the Nexway site. Paid 39.99 Euro for it and I can't install the game anywhere but on C:, it won't give me a choice to change the destination. I have 2 gigs availble on C: and just windows on it. Any support people here or anyone else who can help? ---------- Post added at 06:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:28 PM ---------- Anyone???????? Blueshift 10 Posted July 27, 2009 It may be Nexway's installer ?
Bad Pilot 0 Posted July 27, 2009 Borrow someone's Vista DVD or download and burn a Windows 7 RC1 DVD. Boot it and press Shift-F10 (can't remember exactly when, you can google it) until you get a command prompt. Then you can use diskpart command (google that) to resize your partitions, enlarging your C:\
Joe_M. 10 Posted July 27, 2009 Then you can use diskpart command (google that) to resize your partitions, enlarging your C:\ You must be joking?!? He probably has his reasons for that partitions. It is actually something I do as well. I have Windows on C: and all big applications on D:. It must be a lack of the installer. But who is responsible for it? That's the one to ask for a fix. Anyway I woudl try to get my money back and buy the DVD copy. You can install to drive D: from the DVD.
Bad Pilot 0 Posted July 27, 2009 Sure the installer is at fault but 2GB space on C:\ is cutting it pretty fine though. Time to delete some porn? <- that's the joke :)
tonygrunt 10 Posted July 28, 2009 You could try using ntfs junction links. But both C: and the target installation drive need to be ntfs. This wont work if the installer checks for free size.
Bulldogs 10 Posted July 28, 2009 I'm not sure how the Nexway installer works but are you sure there isn't a button or option that says "custom"?
ck-claw 1 Posted July 28, 2009 I have Nexway and im sure it gave me the option to install where i wanted!
ck-claw 1 Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) Yesterday in a attempt to get the game run better on my very bad spec pc,i formatted a 2nd HDD. To install my Nexway version on to it so just ArmA2 is on the drive and it did indeed give me the option a select installation location! Also runs soo much smoother now! Cured my stuttering too!
