First Mission or so.. Uss Khe Sanh

Well, I'm stuck in the beginning, it just starts me off on a big boat and leaves me there. Doesn't tell me what to do.. I've tried restarting and stuff. Still doesn't work. Its on the mission "First to Fight" or "Aboard the USS Khe Sanh" Or whatever.

If it is at the very very beggining, you have to follow the rest of your team into the briefing room.

Not knowing exactly which place you mean, I will leave it at that. Let us know if you mean a different part.

Sorry for the bland unexplained post, I was tired. Okay, so i start the mission blah blah blah, and it just puts me on a ship.. nothing else happens. My team doesn't go into the briefing room. I'll try to provide screen shots the next time I can. It's like a trigger didn't activate... I was running around the ship, even jumped off a few times.

On topic: yea slightly sounds like a trigger is broken somewhere through, it’s the first time I heard about it.

Well, I've retried the mission, re-installed the game.. - i did that because i was desperate -. Also, the patches don't seem to work either.. might be a crappy disk. And here's more info that might help: When I start the campaign it has an error up in the left-hand corner, and it sais bin\config.bin/Worlds.West or something, does it with East too. For the patches, it just sais something about xdelta3.exe, and has a bunch of errors, no add-ons. Can't use the editor, I can make the units and stuff, but when i use 'preview' it just sends me back to the editor. Loads of bugs with this.. might take the game back and get ArmA 1 it seems to be less buggy.

Edit: For the Endmission cheat I was gonna try that, but I don't have a numpad (laptop) and way I can change it to another key?

Everything else works fine except editor and campaign, oh and multiplayer doesnt work. Because of the patches being messed.

Ya, you should return it to the store and exchange it for another disk.

It shouldn't be my computer, I just got ArmA1 today and returned my ArmA 2 and ArmA1 works like a charm. Any who, this thread can be closed/deleted. ArmA2 seems like a failed project. :(

I had the same problem briefly, when I chose to do more training before starting the mission.

Then I realised that I had to go outside, turn right and walk past the guy guarding the stairs, get up close to the low barrier beside the crate, and press the "V" key to go over the low barrier (i.e. obstacle course) and head to the training area of the ship.

Might be something to consider trying if you selected to do more training after the initial mission briefing.

Oh yeah, and the other thing I had to do to get into the real mission was to talk to the guy with the aviator sunglasses next to the chopper on the deck...

Again, it may be obvious or something you've already tried, but sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious. :)
