Extremely trivial "bug"

Recommended Posts

Try this in the mission editor to verify:

1) Create a WEST transport boat/plane/car.

2) Create an EAST captured unit of the opposing force (using "removeWeapon" and "setCaptive true")

3) Have the prisoner board the transport using synchronized "get in"/"load" waypoints for the prisoner and the vehicle.

4) Play.

After the captive enters the vehicle, all access to the vehicle is barred from human-controlled WEST characters... Including the pilot, if he/she were to get out of the vehicle, re-entry would no longer be granted. Shooting and killing the captive inside is the only way to regain control of the vehicle.

This also happens if sides are reversed, and as far as I can tell, affects all boats, planes, cars, and APCs.

It's extremely trivial, but can vehicles be made so captives don't interfere with vehicle access?... It interferes with scripting prisoner escort missions when the prisoner enters a vehicle before a player-controlled escort. For now, humans must enter before AI, and AI must exit everytime humans step out of the vehicle.

But if the game code cannot be altered, perhaps someone could tell me a script way of bypassing this access limitation?
