cartier90 0 Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) I have got into a heli, 15 under my command in all including 2 door gunners and pilot. Im a real noob at mission design, and so , like I did in OFP , I muddle my way through, ordering the pilot to go to a point near a town. When we reach said point I order everyone to disembark - as this is the only way I get the chopper to land and to get out with every one else. Is there a more 'refined' way of doing this ?..an order to let just me and the platoon out rather than both gunners and the pilot getting out and for me to order them back in ?. Sgt. Gomez 24 10 Posted July 3, 2009 the f keys select each member of the squad for example say pilot is member 2 and gunners are 3 and 4 and 5 6 7 and 8 are the other members press f5 f6 f7 then f8 to select those members only then order command
datter 0 Posted July 3, 2009 Try assigning your immediate group to a team prior to getting on the helo. I use a voice recognition app called Pilfius with ArmA2 and at the start of a mission will just say "2,3,4,etc assign red" and they'll all be on team red. You can do this with the regular keyboard commands too of course. Then, once in the helo you can just tell team red to disembark... that will leave the pilot and co-pilot in the chopper. Now, if only there was a command to raise the intelligence of the AI pilots so they won't try landing in the trees.
frederf 0 Posted July 3, 2009 Cartier, during the mission... no there is not. As a mission designer you can set up automatic or user-prompter scripts/triggers to have a helicopter land for unload.
cartier90 0 Posted July 4, 2009 Cheers ppl, - Id of thought the AI pilots would have been a little quicker to land, It would of been nice to have a 'rolling' exit at 3ft say while the AI pilot hovers slowly then GTFO quickly. Very slow to do everything.
