AwesomeWalrus 0 Posted June 25, 2009 I would like to start by apologizing for having to ask this kind of question; they get old extremely fast. My computer is a decent setup, it is a Gateway FX laptop, it's specs are: RAM: 4 GB DDR3 GPU: 8800m GTS w/ 512MB of VRAM(2.2 Gb shared) OS: Vista Home 64-Bit CPU: C2D t5550 @ 1.83 Ghz i no, rite? Seeing as I am just .17 GHz off of the minimum specs, I assume I'll be able to run this fine. I can run Crysis on Medium-High absolutely no problem, and that is usually how I decide if I can run a game. Unfortunately, being such a damn CPU-Intense game rather than GPU-intense, I am worried that I'm going to bottleneck just short of playable. I know the demo is set to come out in the next fifteen minutes to fifteen hours, but I'd really like to know if my European friends have managed to run ArmA 2 on a similar setup. I suppose I could upgrade my CPU if I really needed to, but I have no problem with a low framerate. I will play a powerpoint slideshow so long as it looks presentable. Thanks in advance, and sorry for such a cliche question, ~AwesomeWalrus
Razorman 10 Posted June 25, 2009 Sorry mate but laptops are not for gaming, especially in Arma2, you will not run it even on low with that cpu.
