Xenophage 0 Posted March 8, 2002 If I install the v1.46 patch OPF won't start. It'll load the little "Operation Flashpoint" logo, and act like the program is starting, and then the screen will go black for about 2 seconds, and then it closes itself completely returning me to the desktop. There are no error messages of any kind, no indication as to what the problem is. The program runs fine if I use version 1.40 instead. I really want to play online, however. My system specs: Windows XP Professional Athlon XP 1600 Kt266 mobo, 512 pc2100 ram GeForce 3, 23.11 Det's Audigy soundcard with latest drivers Has anyone else encountered this issue? I have patched the game from an initial version of 1.3, and from 1.40, but the order of patching doesn't seem to make any difference.
Deus Ex 0 Posted March 8, 2002 what do you mean "the order of patching doesn't seem to make any difference" ? if u have EU copy u upgrade to 1.20, then to 1.30, then to a 1.40 upgrade, in this case use 1.46 to upgrade 1.

Xenophage 0 Posted March 8, 2002 That file reports an access violation on the operationflashpoint.exe, which might indicate a WinXP security issue, except that I have full administrator rights so I don't know what would cause this.
