mickolakis 10 Posted May 27, 2009 Hello all I've just bought QG and can't seem to get it to run. I've patched vanilla Arma up to 1.05, then installed QG and used the patch on the disk up to 1.08. There's a link in my programmes for QG with the Arma.exe with the dbe1 addition at the end. When I click it Arma opens but I can't see QG anywhere in the campaign menu. I can see Rahmadi is in the editor but I just can't seem to find how to play the QG campaign missions. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is? Bandito 10 Posted May 27, 2009 A friend of mine had that problem, too... He patched to 1.14 and it magically went away. Really not sure what caused it, we verified his command line had -mod=DBE1; and everything just like you did. Good luck.
mickolakis 10 Posted May 27, 2009 Thanks, I'll patch up to 1.14 and see what happens :)
Zipper5 74 Posted May 28, 2009 Do you see either United Sahrani or Porto in the list of islands you can choose? If you see only Porto, the DBE1 folder is not activated. If you don't even see Porto, then something has indeed gone wrong and I would recommend a reinstall. By the way, the v1.08 patch included with Queen's Gambit updates any version to v1.08. You don't have to install any patches before hand. But try installing v1.14 and see what happens. Make sure your target line for the shortcut reads something like this: Europe/505 Games version: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" -mod=DBE1 America/Atari version: "C:\Program Files\Atari\ArmA\arma.exe" -mod=DBE1 If it's been installed correctly, that's what you should use. mickolakis 10 Posted May 29, 2009 Well I finally figured out what was wrong. The install created a new folder in the ARMA folder called codemasters and put all the missions, patches campaigns etc in there. When I coped them out and psated them into the regular ARMA files teh campaigns appeared in the options screen in game.
