After many many ,many upgrades heres what i have : WIndows ME or XP (XP suks for the most part with any older components )I do love the features and graphics though However i had to go back to ME for Battlecom and other older programs . K7T266 pro (ms-6380 ax mb) via 8366achipset w 266 FSB AMD AthlonXP 1800+ CPU 2 - 256mb Kingston DDR ram 40 gig maxtor Hard drive Master Primary IDE Plextor12/10/32A CDRW master 2nd primary IDE 50x cdrom slave 2nd secondary IDE Great Cable connection Logitech Itouch cordless mouse and Keyboard (the black one) SB Audigy with latest direct ordered 2002 drivers (had the SB live 5.1) also with direct ordered 2002 drivers Altec surround sound speakers Verto Geforce4 Ti 4600 128 mb DDR Memory had the Gforce 3 ti 500 64 Mb ddr (no change in problems ) other than Video rocks 10x time better YES the GF4 is unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I reformated installed 4n1 drivers all the microsoft upgrades all the video ,programs ,and latest drivers for anything i have . then the soundcard drivers 4n1 drivers agian IRQ =Video,sound,network card all on seperate IRQS and the rest looks nice!!!!!!! System resourses abouve 85% or more I have started at low end and worked my way up to this level of system.Tried ALL tech support ideas and got all sorts of problems . Today the problem is crash half way through a game in multiplayer every other game actually it seems to be every Mulitplayer game . What the heck is going on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have loaded other games and they all run just fine . ALso i have tried BIOS changes and updates . Ive tried anything and everything . Does anyone have any ideas why this game has so many problems and any of my component tech forums for me to look at ? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Rowdy 1 Posted March 5, 2002 By the way the sound problems with Windows XP,Sound Blaster and OFP is a pain in the ass .The new audigy drivers released in 2002 is not a fix so dont pay or wait for them .I had to go back to Windows ME . Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
