Slight Freeze when I hit a menu

This is strange, mainly because I can't find anyone with the same issue, when ever I hit any menu in game (Esc, Gear, Map, anything along those lines) the game will hang for 3-5 seconds, and when I close them it does the same. Really odd considering I get run the game perfectly on max settings.

Specs:

8800 GTS 640 MB

AMD 4000+

2GB PC 3200

Not sure if it's too much of a help, but the same thing happens in crysis, which makes me think it has to be some kind of hardware bug, but I have all updated drivers, and it only happens in these two games.

What patch are you using?

As this was common for the game.

As the patches rolled out it disappeared.(well got less and less)
