Kind Regards walker People often make that comparison, but my favorite comparison is that Vista was more like Win 95, XP like DOS, and 7 like 98 - 1. DOS was crap, but it was around for so long that everyone got used to it. 2. 95 was a step forward, but was so buggy and system intensive that the benefits were almost negligible to a lot of well-versed computer users. 3. 98 was just basically a polished version of 95. By the time it came out, most people had begrudgingly accepted 95, so 98 was seen as a definite improvement.
