MC_RIB 0 Posted August 23, 2008 Ive been checking out the latest Arma2 screenshots and they are looking brilliant, although when I noticed units like medics carrying AK74s with Kobra sights attached I thought it was kind of wierd. Arent sights like this considered specialist equipment in the Russian army? I always assumed they were only given to spetznaz and airborne troops, not just standard infantry and medics like what these soldiers seem to be. I know its kind of petty but considering the previous Arma game sacrificed lots of equipment in the name of realism, it would make sense to give the troops standards equipment. Then again maybe im wrong, or maybe the medic had just happened to be carrying a specialised rifle. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Shadow NX 1 Posted August 23, 2008 Was wondering about that too but hey who said he didnt pick that weapon up from some other soldier or Specop as the dragging pic is a part of the bigger pic where US and Russian forces fire at each other ( as seen on the ArmA2 homepage ). Btw, the Ak is most likely a 107 or 108 also not really something for the typical grunt. But who knows, seems BIS portraits the russians as completely up to date this time with BMP-3s, BTR-90s, T-90s, Vodniks, many things that exist but if delivered to the troops then in very small numbers and then only to the elite units.
