freddern 0 Posted June 15, 2008 I'm considering to set my mod making on hold untill I know more. If I start making stuff for Arma now, then when it's finished will Arma 2 be out already? So I would like to know if there is any info about how easy it will be to convert Arma addons to Arma2... If I start making stuff in 3dsmax then should I try to make the models in similar quality as Arma models? Any info???
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted June 15, 2008 The way I see it, if you make a good, efficient, hi-poly model for ArmA, even at BIS standard, then it will fit right in in ArmA 2. As far as we know, ArmA 2 essentially is using the same basic infantry model as ArmA - thus, I, for example, will expect several centillion infantry models to be whacked in with a bit of config tweaking here and there pretty soon after release. This is, of course, depending upon whether BIS has several large surprises stored up their sleeves.
smellyjelly 0 Posted June 15, 2008 BIS said a long time ago that Arma mods could be ported to Arma 2. It was a while since they said anything, but there is no reason to believe that has changed.
