Phreak 0 Posted May 27, 2008 He guys, I reinstalled arma today again, and applied all the patches. But when i tried to join a server i could not select teams, or see anything in the multiplayer setup screen. It was greyed out, all i could do was press "OK" or "Disconnect" when i press "OK" it goes to the "recieving mission file" and just hangs then. I have made a screenshot for you guys to explain: Ive searched google, and this forum all over but havent found anything. I have reinstalled arma and tried it without any patches but again nothing as you can see above... I have openend ports, disabled all my firewalls router firewalls etc. but nothing... any suggestions? Phreak 0 Posted May 27, 2008 Aaaaaah 2 minutes after posting this i solved it  =--=-=-=-= Can't use Multiplayer Setup Dialog Can't use Multiplayer Setup screen. Can't select roles for a mission, can't vote for a mission, and hitting OK will not do anything. Solution This issue can usually be traced to nVidia's nForce networking controller. The solution is to use a different network card, if available. Work around to be traced back Enable native XP2 firewall, or, if using 3rd party firewall, enable Arma and uPnP architecture. -=-=-=-==--= I did not have a nforce network chip, but a marvell yukon. but anyhow i tried one of my other network ports and that solved the problem! jakfox 0 Posted November 27, 2008 this post doesn't make much sence I'm running a 64 bit operating system, after updating my Nforce, making sure my firewall was disabled and DMZing my router, I'm still having this issue.
jakfox 0 Posted November 27, 2008 Fixed. I changed out and disabled my onboard networking, and i'm running with a cheap PCI eithernet networking card. Fixed the problem right up.
