Chopper415 0 Posted February 26, 2002 I'm trying to figure out wether or not it is worth trying to complete campaign missions with as many of your men alive at the end as possible - I assume that there are infinite reinforcements for alpha squad but will experienced soldiers get better? Or do you simply have to keep them alive long enough to do their jobs in the immediate mission?
Intruder 0 Posted February 26, 2002 Nah, just keep em alive during the mission. The missions always have a set amount of men on your side. Edit: That is the missions are fixed. The outcome of the soldiers in the last mission will not affect the soldier in the next.
Hardliner 0 Posted February 26, 2002 Don't even have to keep them alive if you don't want. On that Strange Meeting mission I don't go up the dirt road I head right for the second evac point. On way BMP and T72s with enemy troops show up so I stop and my guys get out to fight then i drive off before the BMP blasts the truck I'm driving into bits then get out and head to rescue point. While I'm getting there my guys sometimes knock out the BMP and if lucky a T72. Its better than lossing all your guys to a sniper and a few Russian troops up that dirt track. Chopper415 0 Posted February 27, 2002 Thanks - now that you mention it, I do seem to recall seeing Bobby Bruning on more than one casualty list...
I)eaI)Eye1809 0 Posted February 27, 2002 hahahah bob bruning always dies hes a retard anyways in the training when we were all waiting in the trucks he was crawling to the truck for like 3 min i went out and tried shooting him but i didnt have any ammo i am pretty sure they get better with experianse if you look in the editor menu there is something called skill you could move it up and down so every mission there skill moves up a bit
