Anti cheat

Well I was playing a lot on the different server´s that run c&h missions in the last couple month but the cheating problem is getting worse and worse. At the moment there is actually no point in playing c&h maps anymore because you dont need to wait long for some assholes running cheats and ruin the game. That was allready a big problem in OFP but BIS never solved the problem. So in ArmA we still have the same problems like in OFP.

Will we have the same problem in ArmA 2 as well?

If yes I have to go straight for OFP 2 beause whats the point in online gaming when every 4rd guy is running a cheat...?

I realy hope BIS is taking this problem more SERIOUS this time and will come up with something that works.

Patch 1.09 will introduce some cheat proction. I'm sure whatever it is, it wil also be applied for Arma2II.

Cheating is rampant in every game and cannot be stopped. The grim reality is cheating encourages game sales as people quit one game and move on to another. You can cry and complain to BIS all you like about cheating. They cannot stop it with such an open platform. I suggest you get into a serious squad/clan where the competitive players, who frown upon cheats, play. BIS are not at fault. You wanted an open platform so you have to work around the downsides. Public servers are going to be full of cheaters so semi closed gaming communities are the answer. They don't care if you can't kill shit as long as you follow the squad and do ya best. Priority is having fun.

I'm glad I'm getting the 360 version. Likely less issues and my pals will be there. If you end up with cheaters constantly find a group of friends to play private games with so no cheaters get in. I hope this helps.
