vpr 0 Posted November 25, 2007 I've just reinstalled my system to fix several problems but now another problem has come up. I'm trying to install Red Hammer off the Gold Edition CD's in Windows XP but I keep getting this error when running the installer for Red Hammer. 'A debugger has been detected' 'unload the debugger and try again' I've tried everything here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/812759 but I still get the error. I've also tried removing my sound card drivers as they are up to date but this didn't help either. This error also happens when trying to install the 1.46 patch. Operation Flashpoint and Resistance + 1.96 patch all install fine but the game will only load off the Resistance .exe, the flashpoint .exe gets the same error. My system: Windows XP Home + Service Pack 2 and all windows updates installed. 2.8Ghz Pentium 4 2GB RAM 256Mb Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 XL (Catalyst 7.11) Creative SB Audigy 2 (Drivers 2.09.0016) DirectX 9.0c (Nov2007_redist) I've also tried disabling my Firewall (Sunbelt Personal Firewall 4) and viruschecker (NOD32) but this doesn't help at all. Any suggestions? This didn't happen before I did the system reinstall. Thanks.
vpr 0 Posted November 25, 2007 Seems to be a problem with the 7.11 Catalyst drivers. I reinstalled version 7.8 which I had on before reinstalling Windows XP and problem's gone away now.
