wolfbite 8 Posted November 19, 2007 I was just thinking about that they said it will be easier to port vehicle's from arma to arma2. But if this is so. will there be that much difference from the original arma? For example i'd love to se winches ( For fastroping etc) to be useable, but if its going to be so easy to bring addons over from the older does it mean theyre actually gonna do that much about sorting all the differewnt things their large community actually wants to see? To be honest i would rather we couldnt port over old addons if it means i can shoot from the hatch in the bmp. Im just saying addon makers will allways want to make new addons especially if they can do more with the game. But staying with the old vehicle models for ease of compatabilaty is wasting everyone's time. Any opinions?
-ZG-BUZZARD 0 Posted November 23, 2007 Might be a double-ended sword, since many addons for ArmA are conversions for things that were made for OFP, not much "NEW" has come out, and if BIS won't the tools to create new addons practically from the start on, I could see even more addonmakers not wanting to wait any longer and giving up on making addons for this series of games... Because as we all know this series of games lives and feeds off community-made addons (it's a pity but that's just how it's always been since OFP, BIS... ) Edit: And might as well add another huge thanks to all those that still continue to make addons and support OFP in general!
