Xp and flashpoint...

Recommended Posts

I have XP installed and updated on my system, and Flashpoint upgraded to version 1.42. My mouse cursor (desktop) is not dissapearing when I boot up the game. So I have double cursors that move at different speeds when I try to play. Has anybody else come across this problem? If so, what was the fix? Any help would be much appreciated.

Actually yeah I did have that problem but it went away after I updated from 1.40 to 1.42 confused.gif

If I remember correctly alt-tabbing will clear it but thats just a work around...the only other suggestion I can make is to make sure your drivers are uptodate as I did that as well and maybe it was the combination of updating the drivers and OFP that cleared it...

Sorry I can't be of much help sad.gif

Hey I made the problem come up again then made it go away confused.gif

Normally I run my desktop 1024*768 @ 85Hz (or more windows does, I just agree) but I run OFP 1024*768 @ 75Hz like everything else. You can't see any flicker at 75Hz for most people I think but anyway I changed my desktop from 85Hz to 75Hz and the mouse problem occurred. Changing it back naturally made it go away again.

I guess you need to force OFP to take control of the video in some way, by using a different resolution or refresh rate etc. My guess anyway.
