Pilot proxy

Recommended Posts

Full bore into addonmaking for Arma now. I am actually concentrating on animations for a project. But I was tinkering.

To learn I was trying to import my simple Fokker into Arma .

I noticed the A10 is using a proxy \Ca\temp\A10\Pilot.p3d

The proxy doesn't exist nor does the pilot show inside the A10 either.

I remember back i the day we had a pilot proxy we could put within our addon folder and actually see proper placement, then we had to change the path to the game one.

Any ideas? Am I missing something I overlooked ?

Extract the A10 pilot.p3d proxy?

It won't extract as its not there. The proxy isn't there or within Arma game.

I been playing with the camel_pilot proxy some, that may work.I just would have to keep previewing in-game till it looks right.Alotta extra work.

bdfy..you aure are an asset to these forums, your helping everyone

Thanks again for your help on this.

How did I miss that topic ? I already noticed that hard time animating proxy soldiers. They rip'n tear if thats a good term.

But no problem using rtm's on just the soldier.Which is the kinda stuff I mainly been woking on.

Weird thing I was just trying to import this VERY SIMPLE plane...it has no gauges or what-have-you.Should be easy but giving me problems.

What we need is unbin proxies like we had for OFP, you place them in the addon dir and just type the proxy name. Then when your done, you retype the path to usually the data dir.

Bis overlook the fact that there is no pilot.p3d to go with the A10 ? By not having that and if I made up a config for the demo A10 , my pilot would most likely just be centered within the addon.

Give us the pilot.p3d please, lol

I am prolly gonna try using the camel_pilot.p3d to solve this when I work on it again
