Phazon 0 Posted July 26, 2007 This is a replacement pack I created that uses the BW Flecktarn & Tropentarn skins from the addon by Bionic. It works in single-player and is multi-player friendly too. Required: BW Flecktarn & Tropentarn (v1.04) (Armaholic) Replacement Pack download: BW Flecktarn & Tropentarn Replacement Pack v1.1 (Filefront) (will post Armaholic FTP link once they host the updated version) ================================================ UPDATED (v1.1 release): I have added new configs which replace the SF skins, and you are now able to mix the woodland and desert camo schemes (you can choose to have the basic soldier and SF units in any combination of woodland and desert camo you wish). I apologise for not doing this for the original release. No harm done I guess, the files themselves are mere kilobytes in size. ================================================ Installation instructions are included with the file. This is my first addon for Armed Assault, I hope its of use to some people. I tested it in both single and multi-player and it worked for me. If you have any issues with the file, please let me know and I'll do my best to fix them. Credits Bionic, ViconX, Mr.Burns and Deadeye for their BW Flecktarn & Tropentarn addon. ColonelSandersLite for his replacement pack config template.
Phazon 0 Posted July 26, 2007 A newer version will be released soon which will allow you to mix'n'match the woodland and desert skins for the infantry and SF classes. I forgot to do this initally.
Phazon 0 Posted July 26, 2007 Be advised this version does not replace the SF skins just yet. I forgot to include them in the replacement pack. I will try to release a version that includes them. The upside is you can make it look like its a combined US/German force.
Phazon 0 Posted July 26, 2007 My replacement pack has been updated to version v1.1! The SF units now have their skins replaced (apologies for not including this in the original release). As an added bonus, I have made separate configs for the woodland and desert camo versions of the normal soldier units and SF units. This will allow you to choose different camo for both the normal soldier units (riflemen, AT soldiers etc) and SF units (Saboteur, SF Marksman etc).
manzilla 1 Posted July 26, 2007 Let me try this one. The last version wasn't working for me. It didnt seem like it was compatible with the SIX Sense Pack. When I would load a mission using the SIX Sense Pack and your replacements, I would get an error while the mis loaded that said the mission couldn't be played because Six_Misc, Six_Blood, etc. had been deleted. Then I'd restart the game/mission without your reps and everything would work fine.
Phazon 0 Posted July 26, 2007 Strange. I don't see what my replacement packs have to do with those mods. I do use those mods, but how on earth would it affect the configs when it has nothing to do with them? Try the newer release anyways and see how it goes. I'll look over the configs and check them to see if anything is out of place. If you (or anyone else for that matter) finds the new release works properly and as intended, please let me know so I know it doesn't need fixing.
manzilla 1 Posted July 26, 2007 It doesn't work. The same problems occur. Also, at the main screen of the game, the camera is underwater. In other words, usually it starts by zooming in on the island but when I turn on your replacement mod, the camera is underwater. When I turn off your mod it's back to normal. Real strange. Phazon 0 Posted July 27, 2007 I found that occurs when a mod is not installed properly (from past experiences with other addons). Are you using the modfolder method like I suggested in the readme?
manzilla 1 Posted July 27, 2007 Of course. Matter of fact, the only other Mod i'm using is DM effects3.3 and the new russian VDV/Marine, Sand Bag fix1.1 and skavens RACS
