freddern 0 Posted July 8, 2007 Hi. I'm currently working on som new units and i'm getting strange results with the normal maps... This is what I have done: In my diffuse texture i have made the vest very different than the standard texture so that is what I want to make different in the normal map. I modified my vest texture a bit and made it grayscale before i used a plugin called xNormal -> HeightToNormals and then I get a normal map. I then cut out the vest and place it over the old vest, but the color on the new vest is more red than the original normal map so i use Match Color and use the original as source. When i Now save this is what happens: I load the map in textview2 and the (out of no where) the old normal map has blended in to the new map so some of the details from the old vest is visible in the new normal map... What am I doing wrong... It's in the middle of the night and I'm going crazy... Maby someone got a better way to do this... maby the creators of the swiss units could answer (since their units go new normal maps) tired, going to bed... thank you Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
