eisa01 0 Posted July 1, 2007 I have a problem with my installation. Arma has a tendency to crash when it has to hit the HD to load some scenery (that's what I think it does). It's very annoying, and if I play the basic helicopter course training, it's reproducible. I only managed to complete that when I put every setting on the lowest. I have an e6600 processor, nvidia 8800 gts 320MB. 2GB RAM and Vista Home Premium 32bit. Running the game at 1600x1200 res. I've tried using the maxmem switch at 768 MB to no avail. What does that switch actually do? Anyone got any thoughts about what I should do?
Warpy 0 Posted July 1, 2007 In all seriousness I'd wait for a new patch, the game is clearly rooted and needs urgent attention, perhaps a new batch of programmers that know what they are doing and I say that all all fairness, all I've seen since the release of this game is bugs, bugs and a patch that has introduced more bugs - thats definitely not a healthy game! If other game companies can get it right, why cant this mob? I may be wrong and the game might be fixed with all the unplayable issues resolved in the new patch that currently has no ETA
